CNN 1985 special on RF Weapons and Mind Control

In 1985, Chuck de Caro made a special report for CNN on Radio Frequency weapons being developed by both US and the Soviet Union, and their capabilities at the time and their ability to influence the minds o subjects.

In 1985, Chuck de Caro (the same who made the 'WEA 1/4PMS' report for the Washington post, also referenced in this website) made a special report for CNN on radio frequency weapons being developed by both US and the Soviet Union, and their capabilities at the time. Its very interesting to note, from this both reports (which includes opinions of the greatest experts on the subject at the time), how the public knowledge of the public regressed regarding this issue. We knew more then than we do now - things that were common knowledge are now regarded as "fringe speculation" (or 'conspiracy theory' - an expression which has a negative connotation but shouldn't, because conspiracies do happen).

Many researchers were interviewed - they all stated that a) Radio frequency weapons (or RF-Weapons) are part of the arms race b) They are capable of altering the functioning of the human nervous system efficiently and remotely.

Among the interviewed were Ross Adey and Robert Becker (two times nobel nominee)

The soviet LIDA machine, who as 30 years old and already obsolete in 1985, was described as being able to influence a targets mood using ELF electromagnetic signals and was used in mental patients in Soviet Union.

Two specialists recruited by the CNN were able to produce, with pieces from a consumer electronic store and using Soviet research papers, a cheap machine that could produce halucinations in Chuck DeCaro using low intensity magnetic fields. One of the specialists said in three weeks he could assemble a version of the device to target an entire city.

The DOD refused to discuss the subject of electronic mind control, claiming its too sensitive.

A scientist which didn't want to identify himself and who was working on Rf-Weapons for the government said they were working on such technologies for counter terrorism and special operations, and that a certain percentage of the population could have their brainwaves entrained with weak magnetic fields. It was conducted by a Navy laboratory. Also, he said these signals work exactly like drugs acting on the body, targeting specific sites and functions, and finding a way to way to interfere with a specific site or function its a matter of finding the signal with matches that site for function, just like with drugs.

It is interesting to note how this matches up with colonel John B Alexander statements (for the Washington Post in 2007) on the subject and with Karen Stewart (NSA whistleblower and TI) testimony (in 2022) regardind DEWs, mind control, terrorism and the Navy 30 years later.

The video, statement by statement:

00:00 - Summary

01:00 - Intro to EM weapons

01:59 - The research is focused on the Radio Frequency

02:08 - James Frazer, researcher on the american air force, things RF-Weapons are the wild card in the arms race

02:32 - Physicist Robert Bass, weapons researcher, soviets are ahead in RF-Weapons

02:50 - The probable Russian weapons are ultra high powered microwave pulses, which could 'cook' people and destroy electronic circuits at distance.

03:26 - Microwaves and other RFs can be transmitted almost without power loss in certain frequencies (called 'windows')

04:36 - Powerful microwaves pulses can be produces by a device called gyrotron.

04:45 - After years of resistance, DOD and Air Force said they can't discuss it because 'the subject is too sensitive'.

04:56 - Some unexplained cloud phenomena can be an indication of Russian breakthrough in RF technology. 04:17 - Intro to inserting images into mind

04:49 - Prototype of image insertion into mind.

05:07 - Delgados 60s work in behavior manipulation using electrodes in the brain

05:44 - Delgado can now do it without electrodes - by using low powered pulsing magnetic fields

06:06 - In Soviet Union, an RF device named LIDA has been used for over 30 years to manipulate the moods of mental patients.

06:22 - LIDA pulses are in the ELF range.

06:28 - Ross Adey says LIDA was already obsolete.

06:48 - Scientist employed by the US in RF weapons research says these things prove humans are susceptible to remote alterations of mood and awareness by WEAK electromagnetic means.

07:33 - Elizabeth Rauscher and Bill Van Beis built a cheap machine which inserts images into someone's mind using parts from a consumer electronic store, based on soviet papers. It worked.

09:10 - Bill says it can be use to cause hallucinations on people

09:24 - Bill says with 3 weeks and of the shelf parts he could assemble a weapon to attack a whole town.

09:34 - Robert Becker, two times Nobel nominee for his work on bio effects of EM, said the machine probably disturbs the brains interpretation of vision, and could be used as a weapon.

10:50 - Becker says the woodpecker signal, broadcast since 1976 and declared by the military to be a missile radar, might be actually have a psychoactive effect, since the signal range it operates was reported to have a tranquilizing effect. 11:35 - Bob Beck's research says we are incredibly sensitive to magnetic stimuli

11:56 - Dr Larissa Vilenskaya, Soviet researcher, says soviet proved theoretically and demonstrated experimentally that low frequency, low power electromagnetic fields can have biological efficiency due to the fact that it carries information, and the military were interested on it.

13:03 - The DOD won't comment of the issue of electronic mind control.

13:08 - Scientist employed by the US in RF weapons research says found out how to entrain the brain waves of a certain percentage of the population using weak magnetic fields. And that the research was conducted for "counter terrorism and special operations".
